Road Dryer Hire · Hot-Air Drying

Road Drying

Hot-air road dryers that lift surface moisture on contact — wet surface to workable in a single pass, so asphalt, seal and line-marking crews start sooner instead of waiting out the weather. 5 machines, hire Australia-wide, 24/7.

What is it

Heat that keeps the job moving.

The road dryer uses controlled hot exhaust airflow to remove surface moisture from pavement, helping asphalt works commence shortly after profiling has been completed. This reduces delays caused by the water required during profiling for dust suppression and cutter cooling, keeping works moving without having to wait for the surface to dry naturally.

In addition to pavement drying, the machine can also be used for dirt drying to assist in preparing surfaces for seal and asphalt works. By reducing excess moisture in the ground, the road dryer can help bring the surface closer to the required compaction rate, supporting a more efficient preparation process before laying seal or asphalt.

Hiring a road dryer gives contractors a practical way to reduce weather-related delays, improve project efficiency and keep critical works on schedule.

How it works

Three steps to a dry surface.

1

Profile & suppress

Profiling leaves the surface wet from the water used for dust control and cutter cooling.

2

Dry the surface

Triple jet engines sweep over 650°C of hot air across a 2.1 m pass, lifting moisture fast.

3

Lay immediately

Crews seal, mark or lay asphalt straight away — no waiting for the surface to dry naturally.
